A recent study done at Michigan State University shows that you can forget about raking, blowing, and bagging leaves. Instead, just mulch them with your lawn mower it’ll save you work, improve your soil, and add nutrients. Since you should be mowing your lawn in the fall anyway, this will save you time and effort that can be spent enjoying your yard.  Of course, if your lawn has many large trees causing a thick layer of leaves, some may need to be removed to ensure that the mulched leaves work their way down to the soil level.
